My computer will not show the music i have on my mp3 player
I first hooked up my mp3 player and the music showed, but I needed to do something else so I unhooked it. When hooked it back up, the music no longer showed up on my computer screen. It shows the mp3 player as full, but will not show the files or music on the mp3 player. I need to delete some songs on the mp3 player, so now I'm puzzled on how I'm supposed to do that now.
my mp3 was good when i first bought it... i hooked it up and put music on it...and it worked on my computer like a charm...i brought it to my friends and when i first put it in her computer the same options didnt pop up..usually the options on my computer are to view folder, or play music..her computer coudn't even find my music and said my mp3 was empty even though all my songs still played when i listened to it, and it was still full..then it didnt work on my cousins computer either because, but i decided snce it worked on mine, and it playd music i had nothing to worry about...then my computer got over crowded and i ahd to restatrt the system..once i did that i had the same problems with my mp3 as i did on other poeple's computer...i realzie ite because i jad something on my computer that caused it to work, but whatever that was got deleted after i rebooted the system..i trieddonwloaind adobe acrobat abd reader, but they didnt help..i ahve the dis that came with my mp3, but thats doesnt help either, i need something that does help..Please?
Re: my computer will not show the music i have on my mp3...
There is a super easy solution, if you are using windows try using a live cd, which is a bootable cd. Here is the link to a good one: http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/linuxmint.com/stable/8/LinuxMint-8.iso
just download and burn onto a disc using an iso burner (http://www.freeisoburner.com/)
then boot up the disk and plug in your phone, the os should recognize the mp3 as a mass storage device just like a usb then you can retrieve your songs and delete them as you would files on a usb

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files
open explorer and go to tools, folder options, view, click on don't show
hidden files or
folders, click on hide ext and hide protect click apply... Format mp3 player
and tranfer music back to the sansa
You can make another music folder (music1)put music in this....Keep it on msc this reads expansion cards and the sansa USB mode located on the sansa if asked to change to MSC goto menu press enter
scroll to settings press enter scroll to usb mode press enter scroll to msc
press enter
hook your player up to your pc. Then go to start menu, then go to my computer, then you will see your device driver there. Double-click on drive, see if you can see your songs from there. If not, see if you have an MP3 file on the player. Make sure songs are in the folder
hi jowens,
this prob usually happens when u format ur mp3 player when it was plugged on to ur computer...so better delete all d entries in d mp3 player...now insert d software cd given with ur music player, install d software properly and now transfer music to ur mp3 player.... now ur problem ll be sorted out.
Note: everytime u format ur mp3 player, u get dis problem....so again install a software cd and synchronize with the computer again, before transferring music...
Is your device almost full?
The player needs sever MB's of space to create the database or menu, for you to navigate with.
Try deleting some music, then restart the device.
Best of Luck.
You need to transfer the music using a program called musicmatch which is available from the philips website. These philips players are awkward like this. Hope this helps
