Our Bunn has a thermal carafe. This thing has leaked every time we pour our coffee. We pour over the sink most of the time. Now for some reason the metal has slipped from the plastic rings holding it. Is there a fix for this? Bunn was contacted but no answer as of this post. We are hoping for a repair kit.

I do apologize that you haven't received an answer. The thermal carafe can be replaced at no cost to you but simply calling customer service with the model and date code.

MY BUNN COFFEE MAKER MODEL BTX-B BREWS SLOWER THAN IT USED TO. IS THERE A WAY TO CLEAN IT?

To clean your brewer, pour in 1 qt of white vinegar into the top, place the carafe on the base and close the lid. Allow the vinegar to sit in the machine for 2 hours. After 2 hours, turn off the machine and let it cool. Then remove the sprayhead and insert the metal spring(deliming tool) into the hole where the sprayhead was and twist it 5-6 times. Then you will flush out the machine by pouring 8-10 carafes of water through the machine.

Bunn thermal coffee pots not keeping coffee hot

If might not be the thermal pot, it is possible it is the machine itself. If you have a candy or meat thermometer, place it in the pot as soon as the coffee has completed brewing. The temperature should be at 175-185 degrees. If it isn't, then the machine needs replaced. If the temperature is correct, then please call customer service with the model and date code to get the thermal carafe replaced. If the temp isn't correct, and it is 3 years old or less, the machine will be replaced for no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it can be replaced at a reduced price.

No manual with Bunn NHBX coffee maker.

before plugging in place your empty filter basket in the coffee maker and place a pot under it. Slowly pour in two pots of water using the pour pitcher. Now you can plug it in. it'll take 15 min to heat up first time . when you brew your first pot leave your water level a little short, because the water will expand (only the first time)

Coffee grounds leaking out of the basket

When you are grinding your own beans or use certain types of coffee, you need to use a flow restrictor sprayhead. If you will contact customer service, a flow restrictor sprayhead can be sent out to you at no charge and this will eliminate the problem you are having.

Overflowing basket

The grind on your coffee is too fine, and if not there is too much coffee in the basket, hence the overflow.

Lid on carafe

Sadly, I have about 10 people who have this coffee maker. It is a wonderful little coffee maker and is very delicate.

the worst problem all the people here say is the lid leaks like a waterfall or it leaks by dripping non stop while pouring.

I had to call Bunn, who made this machine, and they have yet to figure out a solution to this problem other than having people who own this machine buy a whole new carafe with new seals.

You might try your local applianace repair store. Sometimes their engineers are smart guys who knows exactly what seals will work or where to get the parts you need better than the actual manufacter.
