mines just gone the same way after less than 2 years of having it and Finlux do offer to repair but it does have a year guaranty

only thing to try i'm affraid
if your dvd is ntsc compatable then in your dvd settings menu change from Pal to either auto or ntsc also it might be that your tv needs to be changed in the same way
if it is hooked up with componant, thats the red blue green cables for video, and red white for audio, then you probabily eather dont have the red pluged all the way in, or you have the red audio, and red video---reversed, make sure to check them on the dvd player, and on the tv, if there correct, try using the composit input, that is the yellow red and white
Same problem with an older JVC player. One end of the S-video cable was loose. Pushed in in tight and everything ok again. Cheap fix if it works for you.
Is the picture still or it scrolls? You may be playing NTSC tapes and DVDs on a PAL TV or vice versa. If your TV supports multiple systems, try switching from one system to another (like NTSC from PAL).
