Hi,

If you cannot fit your PST file backup on a single drive please try choosing "Compressible Encryption" as the format to save as. This will reduce the amount of space needed to back up your PST file.

If it still won't fit then try backing up to a network drive.

Please let me know if this helps and rate my answer.

Many thanks,

Chris

Sounds like your Email has a set up issue. Check the Receive email setups under options. Make sure that you are able to receive BCC emails.

SOURCE: Microsoft Office Outlook

Run Outlook from a command line with the /cleanprofile switch appended to the command.

To find the correct command line, right click on a shortcut for Outlook and go to Properties. Copy the information in the Target field and Paste it to the command line. If there is already a command option, remove it and add /cleanprofile after the closing quotation mark. (Add a space before /cleanprofile)

For example, go to Start: Run. . and enter something like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /cleanprofile .

Then add a new profile. Be sure to check the check box for "Set as default profile". Note: You cannot see this option unless you click on the "Options >>" button.

This should fix the problem.

SOURCE: How do I easily backup email files in Outlook 2010

Hi,

Open Outlook, click on file in the top left hand side. Select Import and export. Now select export to a file and click next. Now select the file type you want save as (I mainly use a pst file and its the most common) and click next.
Now select which files you want to back up, for example Inbox, send items, contacts etc and click next. Now Click on browse and navigate to the external drive or save it to your desktop and copy the files to the external later on.

You can back up all of your emails this way just change the name of the file from backup to Inbox etc.

Regards.

Testimonial: "Excellent advice, though one step left out - that you need to click on Options and then Advanced to reach the Export proceess in Outlook. Thank you."

Find a lost outlook email folder

if you have been using MS Outlook app for your email, the file extension is either .OST for a personal mailbox or .PST for a mail archive. If you search for either of those terms you should be able to narrow down your search. If it is your personal mailbox, it will be called outlook.ost.
Your OST file is usually located at C:\ Documents and Settings\ username\ Local Settings\ Application Data\ Microsoft\ Outlook\ outlook.ost.

Hi i m qaiser from Karachi Pakistan. I need (.dbx) software to open my saved emails from outlook to my documents folder. so please solve this what can i do to solve this problem?

If you do lose your messages, you can try using my DBXtract program to
attempt to recover the lost messages. Note that dbx files are hidden in
Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/linke.gif

If you have upgraded your version of IE and OE or your OS version, and all your messages are lost, then see this article (note that the technique in
the article does not only apply to the issue addressed in the article
title):

OLEXP: Mail Folders, Address Book, and E-mail Messages Are Missing After You Upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP

If File | Import | Messages does not work, ignore the error message, which is erroneous in itself, and try one of the following techniques to get your messages back:
aa. Right click on each dbx file or a selection of them and go to
Properties and clear the read only attribute of the files. Then try File | Import | Messages again.
bb. Import the dbx files individually. See the last paragraph on this page
for how to do that:

cc. As a last resort use DBXtract
