Try installing a inline noise filter in the hot wire running to your tape player, you can get one at radio shack.

How to play cassette

Hi Louise Siegel

By using the a standard Cassette Player
  1. Open the tape compartment door by pressing the eject key, usually far to the right and marked with a raised square.
  2. Insert the cassette, label side up, with the tape edge facing out.
  3. Press and lock down the play key (green with a raised circle / triangle) to start the player.
