I copied afew burnt cd's to my pc, and then copied them to my e250. now it won't play the songs. It keeps saying synchronize to continue your music subscription.Y can't i just copy my own cd's and play them.
If you used Windows Media Player to copy the Cd's to your PC the default setting is to "copy protect my music".
To change that go to Windows Media Player>Tools>Options>Rip Music and uncheck the "copy protect my music" box.
You will need to delete the previously ripped music from your device. Then re-rip the Cd's and transfer them to your device.
Best of Luck.

That is the problem with WMA's - they are glitchy, the licenses expire after a while, and the songs you paid for are no good if you allow your music service subscription to expire. You actually have to renew the songs through Rhapsody, delete the existing ones after your Sansa, and then re-sync them through Windows Media Player.
If you only download and transfer songs in mp3 format, they will never give you this problem.
Here's the deal with WMA files - once your subscription expires (or really, the license on the WMA file expires) - you will have to renew your music service subscription or the song will no longer play on your device.
Use Mp3 format songs - they'll never give you this problem.
That means you will need to transfer one track to your device from rhapsody..the songs you have from rhapsody has a license in them...the licenses get renew every month..that means if you discontinue your service, you are not going to be able to play those songs...just try to transfer one track from rhapsody to your device and that will solve your problems...
you need to hook the mp3 player back up to your computer and go up to the sync tab if you have media windows player 10 then but your songs on the right panel then when your done go back up to the sync tab and click on the very first thing on the top of the list this should help you with the problem.
If you didnt change the default settings for Windows Media Player, it is set to "copy protect my music", which would cause this error.
To change the settings go to Windows Media Player>Tools>Options>Rip Music and uncheck the "copy protect my music" box.
You will need to delete the previously transferred music from your device, re-rip them to your PC, then re-transfer them to your device.
Best of Luck.
it means that you need to synchronize your music instead of just highlighting it and pressing copy. It shows up when you have done that and it would play the song until you do what is above.
