In my 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis I converted Air Susp with coil springs and its going fine BUT Check Air Susp light and a recurrent alarm is on since I ve replaced air susp and I wanna disable it. I came to know that by cutting a wire in the Air Susp Module I may fix this light and alarm. i ve found the module behind the glove box but unable to identify the correct wire to b cut. Can any one tell me the no/ color of the wire to be disconnected in the Air Susp Module to disable CHECK AIR SUSP sign from the dashboard.

sadly no clue here we know fixes not modifications

Does your car have air suspension or coil springs. If you change the air springs and it still is low, it may be the air compressor or limit switches. But the front springs are coil and not air, so I see no reason it should ride low if you replaced with the correct parts. Now if you replaced the front shocks and not the coil springs, then the coil springs may need to be replaced.

You need to have the system checked for what the fault code is...are you sure it's the drivers side air bag or the drivers side, side air bag(located in the seat back?)They're could be a problem with the wiring under the seat.

Why have you not unplugged the compressor or
removed the fuse?

That whole problem you have is so simple

The most trouble you could possible have is to
get the check light off & a look at a wiring diagram
would resolve that

Could be the catalytic converter. It would explain the check engine light and poor performance.

It sounds to me like your compressor got killed. What probably happened is that the airbag got a hole or tiny crack in it so the compressor has to work extra hard because it is like blowing up a balloon with a hole in it. Therefor the airbag killed the compressor. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at our conversion kits. these convert you from the airbag to a powder coated American made steel coil spring that is guaranteed to last the life of the car.
