I would check for burnt resistors as the 150s are interchangeable with the 110s however in alot of hitachis I have seen resistors blow after upgradeing to the higher wattage ICs. I Usually switch out the convergence resistors whenever I go to a higher wattage IC just to be sure. If you need more help let me know.

please check all the lights that are in the chassis hitachi puts led in the chassis so that if one of the lights are not working then u know that circuit is bad. now there is 2 things that hit has wroung in the units and that is a 2kv hv cap of the horiz output transistor that burns up and kill the power supply look for a small black or brown fuse it will not have glass on it it is rt behind the reg ic in the center of the chassis it allwas opens up because of the hv cap doonot run the tv without out that cap it will overload the horiz drive and will burn upo the horiz output but u have a very good ctv ther if u fix it will last u a long time and it is a very easy tv to trouble shoot.

The TV is on protect mode. The clicking sound is the protection switch that keep turning the TV off to prevent further damage, this happens when a fault had been detected.
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
Also
ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box
or dvd connected.
If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing
led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while,
that indicates a fault condition.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.
1The
internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic
charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read
by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the
protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong
voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in
, startingthe flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
Common faults
that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a
convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.
Check also
the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you
can get same flashing state because of the video cable.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

Discharged Flyback Transformer. Removed main pc board from bottom of TV and flipped over, no apparent damaged components or blown board traces were found. Noticed a lot of flux in various areas on the board that seemed unusual (maybe TV was worked on before as I bought a showroom demo at Circuit City). Used a plastic screwdriver to remove all flux between connections on ICs, Transformers, Flyback Transformer, and various other components. Cleaned all debris, dust and crud accumulation (TV is over 10 years old and there was alot around the Flyback Transformer) from both sides of board using a lightweight paint brush.
Used a magnifying glass to check all solder joints for possible cold solders and found none. Did the same for Power Supply Board. Checked various ICs and Power Transistors for opens or shorts (in machine) and they seemed fine. Reinstalled boards, said a few Hail Mary's and fired it up.
The protector Led no longer flashed under power and lo and behold I got picture and sound!
I cleaned the lens on the projectors (again 10 years of dust accumulation) did a magic focus adjustment and it works fine!
After reading other fixes, I fully expected it to die after 10 minutes so I left it on all day and against all odds it still works.
What was the fix......Dirt buildup on and around Flyback and other components,,,,,,Flux conducting electricity between contacts on Flyback and other components.....or oxidation on connectors between Power Supply and Main Board.....I don't know.... all I know is that for the moment I saved around $ 300 - 400 in repair bills by doing it myself.
