Need to remove the rear passenger interior door panel on a Mercedes ml350, 2005. How?

REMOVE THE REAR DOOR PANEL AND REPLACE THE REGULATOR ASSY. VERY COMMON ON THIS MODEL.

remove any screws around the panel,

Open crank window.
Remove cover for door handle and unscrew 2 screws.
Unclip SRS panel and unscrew screw.
Press door liner off bottom, fron and rear inner door panel with wedge.
Lift door liner up and out.
Unhook inner door actuator.
Unclip inner lock on door liner.
Remove lamp.

Remove the inner door panel & replace the
regulator cable assy,switch motor over the new one
if possible

Possible short in wiring to courtesy step lamp in lower edge of door.

Will need to check wiring in door and where it goes through to the A pillar.

The window is also powered so loom to window may be culprit but being it was not opening or closing at the time, maybe not.

Economic repair ? Oxymoron with a Mercedes. Check with a local independent repair shop , most don't want to mess with wiring problems.

Once the complete interior panel is removed you may see what needs work.

pull off rear mirror panel, pull off electric seat adjuster knobs, pull off plastic around door handles. Unbolt top of handle. Pull out light at bottom of door. Unscrew plastic stiker plate and remove. Unscrew lock knob to remove. Then your ready to wiggle and pull the panel up and off, be careful of the area around the door handle, you may even want to pry that area out before you begin.

You will need to remove the interior door panel and inspect the linkages. The offending rod should be obvious and loose.

If you can lower the window down you can jimmy it open from there preferably from the inside has more padding in the inside seal compared to the outside one i can see the switches working but some how it detached itself try and hook around the area were the door latch is not door hinges lol it wont be an easy task but a thin coat hanger as well as possibly a rubber door stopper to give ya some space to work with may help out good luck take her easy with the door stopper don't push it in too far may crack the plastic
