If your mobile phone is on a contract with a service provider, most of the times it will be locked in with them for the duration of the contract, So if you try to insert a sim card from a different service provider, it may say "sim card not valid' Try to insert your original sim card and see if that works.
Otherwise if this IS your original sim card and all of a sudden this message "sim card not valid" has appeared, then the sim card has gone faulty and you need to get a new sim card from your service provider eg... Vodafone.
your phone is locked to virgin, which means u can only put virgin carrier sim. if u want to stay with vodafone, u can either unlock it through virgin, u will be charged or just buy a new phone
There are no laws that I know of that would make it illegal for you to unlock your phone. I would highly suggest finding a site that uses paypal as a pay source and contact them about unlocking your phone. Should the code not work you can contact paypal for a full refund. Also you can contact T-Mobile and tell them you are leaving the country and you need the unlock code so you can use a local service while traveling in the other country.
Carrier named on SIM card probably not same as Carrier this phone is locked too. If so, get correct carriers Sim Card. Carrier can be seen on powerup splash screen pic. Or, unlock phone.
Sim cards for all carriers can be found on ebay. They are usually pay-as-you-GO phone no contract SIMs. but once you activate SIM, just call carrier and switch your number and/or choose one of their minutes plans. Not problem. They change your number over the wireless, and your contract over the phone..
i had a lg u890 mobile phone that i got unlocked but it had the same proble where i swithched on my phone it used to ask for the usim code..my old phone was locked to the 3 nt/wrk i got it unlocked so i could use my 3 nt/wrk sim card or any network simcard but i used vodafone 3g sim card.the code i used with my vodafone 3g network simcard in phone when switched phone on & it asked for usim sim code i inserted code i got & it shut the phone down then on again then it wld work with vodafone no bother at all it even came up with vodafone uk etc.but i had to reconfigure the sms/text telephone number aswell as reconfigure the mms settings & numbers etc aswell as reconfigure wap settings from 3g network to vodaphones.but after i got it all unlocked & settings changed etc & inserted a different 3g network simcard ie vodaphone/orange/o2/3g sim/t-mobile/tesco sim/virgin sims & switched phone on it asked for usim code i tryed the code i have & inserted the same code i have it/they switched phone off & then back on & all network usim card worked with no problems at all.the code i have is.>>> 142358#*# thats 142358# * # all 1 item/action.once you insert that 142358#*# thats it your phone will shut down then restart up & go onto the network usim card you want to use or inserted before using code.but 1 thing tho please remember if u switch off your phone or your phone switches off as batterys run out no power u will need to insert the code again.& another thing code wont work if your phone switches off or you switch it off & plug your mobile battery charger into phone to charge your battery up on the phone & you switch you phone back on when you are charging your phone as the phone will switch on & say insert usim code if you enter the code the phone will switch off & back on again but it will still request usim code.so you will have to wait unto there is plenty of charge in the battery to take phone off charge & swithch your phone on get the usim code message insert code above phone will switch off & straight back on again & then it will go onto your prefured usim card then you can plug your charger into phone again to charge phone up.you can use your phone on charger when u have entered usim code & it switched off & on again & registered with the prefered network.i hope this is of use to you as it is to me.if you try this code & either if it works or not please can you let me knows ty.email [email protected]
Your sim card might be loose in it's place. Or you may need to "open line" your phone.
Better solution? Purchase a new sim,not a vodafone sim. For you to know what the problem is.
A rate from you for this solution according to the benefits obtained will be much appreciated. tnx! Further questions? don't hesitate to post......good day!
