It sounds like you have a developer housing failure.

I called Xerox and it seems that it's because the imaging unit is defective. They are seeding me one free of charge. Hope you can do the same...

At first I didn't think the paper was the problem, but I looked up the specs on it and is seems to be a paper designed for an offset press.
I suspect after reading the information on the paper that the coating is not designed for the high temperatures of a laser printiers fuser heat of over 350 degrees.
I do suspect the paper is the issue.
sounds like you are melting the coating.

Hi there,
Just found a supplier for toner and reset chips for my new 6125. Don't know where you're based but in the UK you can use the following link:-

In the US, a possible source from EBAY is:-

Additional remarks about the problem: The Xerox 6125 test color print (with the horses) looks perfect, but when I strike my fingers over it, just the black color smears. The big letters 6125 and black parts of the picture bocome grainy and the white paper around it gets gray. The other colors have no problem.
Add a CommentIn the meantime, I bought the 6125 service manual, but did not recognize this problem and solution yet.
The fuser is supposed to be 347 degrees F. I suppose it never reaches that temperature. The surroundigs get barely warmer than my hand.
