Possibly dust. May need to make an appointment to see Dr Casio if you haven't got it fixed yet

I have a Roland E-70 Intelligent Synthesizer, buit the manual does not give instructions on how do transposition. I need to transpose the instrument to play a music in a lower key. For example, when I...

section 7 page 89 of the E-70 manual I downloaded from http://www.rolandus.com/support/owners_manuals/?group=2
describes the use of the transpose button.

In short, you set the value for the transpose function in the parameter menu (section 9 in the manual) ranging from -11 to +11 semitones.

In your case I would set the value for the tranpose button in the menu to minus 2 as you want a full note (= 2 semitones) down from C to B-flat and G to F etc.

And you activate or deactivate the transpose function itself by hitting the transpose button. The little red led next to the button shows whether the function is on (led is lit) or off (led is not lit).

Hope this helps

Disfunctioning f note. It plays extremely loudly.

If it is under warranty, may as well make use of it. In the long run it will be less headache for you.

It is something that should be repairable, although time consuming. as it is likely a stray bit of solder lodged where it should not be.

I plug two roland pk-5a to have 1 octave above the other one but the problem is I can't play in the BASS MODE or MONO MODE with the HOLD function on and stop the note I play on one unit when i play a note...

If you have two MIDI sources that you send on the same MIDI or to the same MIDI sound generator you have to use a "MIDI MERGER" or you will get notes stuck on. A MIDI merger assembles complete messages before sending them to their destination. Without it, the messages are mixed which makes them garbled.

A bought an Yamaha DGX 640 grand a week before and the note sustain for a longer duration and overlaps with the current playing notes. I checked the sustain in the function setting and it is also showing ...

The function setting is for the PANEL sustain (Page 68 of your manual)

The other method of sustain is by footswitch or pedal option. See page 13.

If you use a footswitch, it needs to be a normally open contact type. If you plug a Roland type in, it is opposite polarity and will sustain UNLESS the pedal is pressed. Make sure nothing else is plugged in the sustain jack... headphones that are inadvertently plugged in there would sustain.

Can I use it as controller for Fruity Loops? How? Thanks. The model that I have is Casio CTK 496.

You can use this keyboard via MIDI to send note on/off information to FriutyLoops. Use for control functions will be somewhat limited to voice change, velocity, and aftertouch.

Have a look in your manual at the sections on Note Repeat and Time Division.NOTE REPEAT] – Holding this button while

be synced to an internal or external MIDI Clock

19. [TIME DIVISION] – This button is used to specify
the rate of the Note Repeat and Arpeggiator
features. When [TIME DIVISION] is activated,
you can press one of the 8 switches to specify a
time division. [TIME DIVISION] can function as a
momentary or toggle button.
Please note that while [TIME DIVISION] is active,
the 8 assignable buttons will not function as MIDI

Try restoring to factory settings first by turning it on while holding down the Level,Fx,Setupand Trans keys all at the same time. Your key delay function might be out of adjustment. You also have to remember to keep at least one of your thumbs on one of the earth plates. Refer to your owners manual. Start with the factory settings and compare each page of the manual to your instrument until you familiarize yourself completely with the manual. Play the instrument for a while with factory settings until you decide where you have to make changes. Work slowly with each adjustment and the manual until you get what you want. Some adjustments will affect others. Take careful note of what the manual says about temperature and humidity changes.
