Trying to fit a sony stereo into my 1996 ford mondeo but they are completely different harness connectors !

No problem. All you need is your vehicle year and make and you have that. Go to Wal*mart or Target and get a wire harness adapter. Cost about 10-15 bucks. It's in the auto/stereo department. If you'd like to pay a little more then go to BestBuy. This adapter will allow your vehicle harness to plug into it and tell you where to connect the wires onto the wires of your Sony stereo. Very easy. Have a great day.

if your vehicle came with a heated seat option then ya it should be plug & play if the seats are from a different vehicle it might not work do your research before making the purchase on those seats />

Check at your local car stereo installation store, or on eBay. You should easily be able to find an aftermarket harness for your car that will easily attach to the harness for your Boss stereo.

I need to remove and replace the drivers door on my ford mondeo 2008

There are 2 hinges and a wiring harness that need to be removed. Once the new door is on it must be aligned to make sure that the door fits correctly.

Your best would be to buy a harness adapter to connect the new deck through the adapter into the existing OEM wire harness connector. It makes things so much easier and more reliable.

It's probably fatter than the others and red in color, and most likely in one of the corners of the harness. Or you can buy a test light at an auto parts store and probe the different wires with the connector unplugged from the stereo.

I have just taken out my factory fitted stereo in my mondeo and have tried to fit another head unit but there is no sound coming out of the speakers

you have a factory amp, you need a aftermarket deck harness, it will plug into your factory deck wiring and then plug into your after market deck, your speakers will then work
