Most likely it should have a small USB receiver, unless it's bluetooth and you see something like a button underneath that would turn on discovery mode on the keyboard.

Testimonial: "There is a button under neath the keyboard and then there is a blue light that comes on flashing on the from"

Labtech ps2 wireless desktop

Usually, the connect procedure for Labtec is, that you press the small connect button on the receiver, (which on some models, then starts blinking).. Next, you press the connect button, on the bottom of either the mouse, or keyboard.. then repeat this, for the remaining unit.

Note: You might have to connect the PS2 receiver BEFORE starting the PC, and also might have to install the drivers, to get the multimedia-keys to work ! Good luck!

My wife's son recently purchased an epc minibook computer. For the life of me I have been unable to get this machine to connect to the wireless modem we recently had installed in our home. The signal...

Some facts are needed here...

1. Does the Netbook connect to any other network without issue? Like McDonalds, Starbucks, Local Library, friends house, etc. If not then the problem is netbook related. If you can connect elsewhere, then the problem is with your wireless device or configuration.

2. Assuming you are running Windows 7... Does the wireless modem/router you are using at home have any known issues supporting Windows 7 or Vista? Look this up online with the device manufacturer.

3. Does the modem/router have the latest firmware installed? again look this up online with the manufacturer or get assistance from your service provider if under warranty.

4. Is the router configured for WEP or for WPA type wireless security? If it is configured for WEP wireless security, this can and often does affect connectivity for some devices. Always use WPA type wireless if possible. The ONLY reason to use WEP would be to support some old wireless device that does NOT support WPA. WPA is faster and more configurable and more secure.

5. Did the netbook EVER connect successfully via wireless on this network? If it did, then try deleting the wireless profile on the netbook for this connection and try reconnecting again. If it still does not work, but you can connect elsewhere without issue, then you definitely have a wireless security issue.

6. Try temporarily disabling the wireless security and connecting without security. If it still will not connect, then replace the modem/router.

Good Luck

I just today took my hp elite wireless keyboard into best buy due to a key popping off and asked them to repair it. They said it could not be done but instead gave me a brand new one. I did not have the...

Both the receiver and the keyboard should have a tiny button somewhere on it, it might be labeled 'sync' or something like that, alot of times no markings. You push the tiny button on the receiver and then push the one on the keyboard....they will then talk to each other and sync up and should then work. (sometimes you need something like a pen tip or other small pointy thing to push the button because they tend to be very small so they dont get hit accidentally)

Need assistance connecting logitech wireless mouse and keyboard.

Do you have another keyboard that connects directly to the computer that you can use? Can you borrow one from a friend? Did one come with the computer in the box (they often do, when new)?

My optical mouse is working but not my keyboard

If all of the keys on your keyboard is not responding, then there's no connection between the keyboard and the wireless receiver.

1. Change the battery of the keyboard.
2. Make sure that the keyboard is ON.
3. Try connecting the wireless receiver into other USB ports of the computer. If same problem occurs...
4. Connect the wireless receiver into another computer to make sure that the problem is the keyboard and not the USB ports of the computer.

Otherwise, you may contact the manufacturer of the keyboard to verify if there's an additional driver that you need to install or if the keyboard needs repair.

Have a great day!

Dynex wireless mouse DX-PWLMSE won't work

The mouse should be Plug and Play. Did you install the drivers before plugging the mouse's receiver in? The PC has to have the drivers first in order to take advantage of the Plug and Play capability. If you plugged the mouse's receiver in before installing the drivers, unplug the mouse receiver, uninstall the driver, reboot your PC, reinstall the driver, then plug the receiver in and you should be fine.

Otherwise, press the Connect button on the receiver first, and then the Connect button on the mouse, and that should establish the connection. You don't need to disable your touch pad in order to use the mouse.

Wireless mutimedia keyboard

Yes, there should be a receiver for the wireless keyboard. If you don't have one, it would be more cost effective to purchase a new one as they can be had for under $20.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
