Try to clear any debris, use a little bit of silicone spray to free up the button, if that fails remove the cover and check the switch that's under the button. Sometimes the plastic button will break , wear out , that activates the switch underneath and doesn't "spring" back when pushed in, not resetting.

2nd fix, try to boot laptop without hdd.(hard drive). Remove the hdd, then turn on the laptop.. then it can get into the bios.. reset the bios to the default setting, turn off the laptop, and then turn it on again with hdd reinstalled. This seems to be what works in the forums with this issue found in Asus laptops. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Depends what you mean by frozen... could you clarify a bit more on the problem. Won't boot, drive errors... If you mean the notebook is stuck ON and you can't turn if OFF holding down the power button for several seconds will force it off.
Hi,
Take the battery off completely and drain the flea power from the laptop by holding down the power button while the battery is off. Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds to ensure no power remains on the laptop. Check if your battery has a drain button too. Drain the battery and place it back on the laptop.
Charge it for about 30 minutes before you turn it on. See if it works.

Take out the AC power jack and then remove the laptop battery. Plug AC power back in and see if the laptop will turn on. If it turns on let it boot the operating system and then shut down as normal, remove the power cord and reinsert the battery and again see if it will switch on. If it does then there has been a glitch with the battery. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the battery.
If the laptop won't switch on either with or without the battery then there is a possibility that the motherboard has developed a problem.
Try this to see if can give us some codes with it's on board diagnostics. Hold down the function button of your laptop and then the power button while still holding down the Fn/Function button on the left side of the keyboard. See if this gives you either an error message on your screen or, flashing lights above your keyboard. Pay attention, write down what lights where lit up what ones flashed, etc. This is to diagnose if the LCD isn't working. Comment back if you get either the light code or the error code on the screen. IF nothing happens try holding the Fn/Function button on the left side of keyboard and holding the F4 button, see if that makes any lights flash above your keyboard.
If the power button is under the screen you can check easily. You will be able to see little slots. They make tools that will help you open them. Once you open it,it should be there
Try holding the power button down for at least 10 seconds, that should turn off the laptop completely. Then press the power button again to turn it on. Hopefully it will boot up.
