Duplex settings. My WRT120N access-point has a WAN connection to a Star Band dish. These dishes usually operate at half-duplex, and most ethernet connections, such as the WAN port of a WRT120N, operate at full-duplex. This may be the issue of why I'm having connectivity issues. I need to change the duplex on my WRT120N WAN port. Thanks!

SOURCE: Cicso router 1841 not connecting to the internet

When using Public IP addresses on one interface, usually facing your ISP, and using Private IP addresses (AKA RFC 1918) on another interface, usually facing your LAN, one needs to utilize network address translation (NAT) in order to connect LAN computing resources to the Internet.
Cisco has a fantastic article on how to perform the necessary procedures on their web site.

SOURCE: cisco 857w have had it

connect to the router. in the config there will be a line that reads something like chap username xxxx pass yyyy

Change the user name and pasword to the new ones supplied by BT.

Also change the ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 statement to point to the interface for example dialer 0
also change the Ip address of dialer 0 to negotiated

Slower wireless speeds

Sorry to see you leave FiOS.

Without knowing how your EOC-2611s connect to your network, I can only speculate. But...assuming your 2611 plugs into the Comcast router... Check the Ethernet port status. It should be 100Mbps Full (Duplex). If it auto-negotiated to half duplex, that would explain your throughput issues.

OK,

You can login to the lan port by its IP address or software and then navigate to the appropriate settings. I am not sure if you can toggle duplex settings. I had this one and its great. check out this site Linksys Official Support Linksys WRT120N Wireless Home Router

I cant connect to my internet using a ethernet cable, it say limited or no connection yet after going through this with virgin media for an hour turns out the problem is to do with me not them, please

if you were able to connect earlier on this computer and if you can connect on another system/ computer using the same ethernet cable and virgin media connection as of now it does mean that the issue is computer specific so you can try a system restore thru start>>programs>>accessories>>system tools>> system restore and restore the system to a earlier time when you were sure that internet connection worked. you can also try forcing ip and dns settings which Virgin media can provide. also you can try changing the speed and duplex settings to force 10mb half duplex and see if it works. Good luck

How do i configure my D-Link from half duplex to full duplex

By default switch ports are in auto negotiation mode that means it will auto negotiates with the other end device for the speed and duplex settings.

If you want to hardcode the switch port to full duplex then you need to log into the switch management console and under the interface settings change the duplex to full for the inetrface.

My wireless is working fine, but when i plug in my ethernet cable, its says connected at 100mbps but says is not reciving any data

You should check to make sure that you are using the right cable ( if you are plugging a computer into a wireless router, then use a straight-through/patch cable) and I wonder if your ethernet is somehow set to half duplex. If so, then I would recommend changing it to full duplex, especially if you can get around 100Mbps.

When on my pc i plug in my ethernet cable (its un tangled no breaks in the able or anything) it doesnt work so i tried something microsoft suggested i switched the speed/duplex to = 10mbps half duplex,...

You covered half the equation. Now, contact D-Link for their half. No joke. They are usually available 24/7, and will gladly help you, especially if your d-link product is still under warranty.

Tell them everything, all your settings, and so on, then ask them if they would like to remote into your system for a chance to poke around and see if they can fix this for you.

This is also something that they will happily do, if you invite them in, and that way, you can watch them and learn while they help you fix the problem.

Good luck!

I have connected Lantronix UDS1100 Device with Siemens AZL Meters. But not able to get complete data on front end.

The UDS has the following LEDs, which help you diagnose problems.
Power LED (green)
Ethernet 10/100 Link (yellow = 10 Mb/green = 100 Mb)
Ethernet Half/Full Duplex Activity (yellow = Half Duplex/green = Full Duplex)
Diagnostic (red)
Status (green)
Simultaneously lit Diagnostic (red) and Status (green) LEDs mean something is
wrong. If the Diagnostic LED is lit or blinking, count the number of times the Status
LED blinks between its pauses. The following table explains the LED functions:

3com 8 port hub not connecting to 2nd pc

Be sure that when you say its a hub that is indeed a layer 1 device which is just passing the signal and data along to all ports. Be sure to check the cable on the second device. At this point it must a straight cable you use to connect the PCs to the Hub. PCs transmit on pins 1 & 2 and Receive on 3 & 6. Hubs are the opposite. So a crossover will not work. You need PC pin 1 & 2 Tx to Hub Pin 1 & 2 Rx and over to PC pin 3 & 6 Rx to Hub pin 3 and 6 Tx. Tx = transmit and Rx = Receive. Also assign an IP address on each machine that is in the same subnet as each other. Such as PC1 192.168.1.100 mask 255.255.255.0 and PC2 IP address as 192.168.1.101 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 This way the 192.168.1 is the same for 8 PCs and the only change is the last number (octet). Also keep the speeds at either 10/100/1000 what ever the product is rated for but always keep the duplex half. Half is good because on a layer 1 hub, everyone is broadcasting at the same time. So you have to have half of all the ports listening at all times.

I hope this helps. My advice is to buy a layer 2 switch.
