When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Ford service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
Hi please help I just removed my radio to fix my Lighter plug it had a loose wire and now my radio is asking for a code 1 I have a 2016 ford ranger and the radio serial is V058339. Please help
the easy way to do it is just take out the + wire from the battery. Make sure your CD/Radio is not have an antituft code. you will lose all your stored channels in the radio and you will need to set the clock again. Let me know, and if you like this solution please click accept
