I have two laptops that have been using a Netgear router. One of the laptop seem have lost the network connection. I can no longer get a network connection. If I directly into the modem providrd by Comcast no problem but once I unplug it the connection is lost.
Just configure the wireless settings your laptop. Go to Network Connections > Right-click on Wireless Network > Properties. Go to Wireless Network tab and look for Preferred Networks. Just remove all of them and click OK.
Now, On the Network Connections, right-click on Wireless Network Connection > View Available Wireless Networks. Connect to your own wireless network and enter your wireless network key if it tells you to type it. That should fix your wireless connection. Now if your wireless network is not showing, you need to change the wireless channel of your router by accessing the router's setup page using your wired computer.
