Take out the battery and only hook up the AC Adapter into a normal working outlet. Push the power button and if it turns on then you know the battery is bad. If you still dont get the laptop to turn on then either you have a bad AC Adapter or the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Power port not working on toshiba c655

You had better replace your laptop charger. Even if you go to repair it, it will cost you the same price of getting a new charger. So it is wise to purchase a new one. Here are two for your reference:

$9.99 for Replacement Toshiba Satellite C655 AC Adapter 65Watt 19V 3.42A

$12.90 for Replacement Toshiba Satellite C655 AC Adapter 75Watt 19V 3.95A

There are different models of Toshiba Satellite C655 (about 9 models) and some have webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel (like Satellite C655-S5052 or Satellite C655-S5113) and some don't (like Satellite C655-S5068 and Satellite C655-S5049).

How do I replace the keyboard?

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all.
