Upgrade firmware...... or maybe one or more pins are not in contact with the SD chip...... try also cleaning the gold parts of the SD with a pencil eraser

1) do you have a SD card? if yes, check space alloction. If No then it will have failed due to no space.
2) check to see if download manager is working.
3)make sure you are connected to wifi.
4) has it been dropped many times? water damaged? someone else play with your phone?? the latter will always be the problem as they like to believe they can make your phone run faster.
i recently bought a used g1 from a friend and tried to insert an sd
card but it said the same thing sd card removed the card is fine then i
did some researching and found out that the q1 has a sensor in the sd
card cover which if it is opened it will say that message now my
problem is that the cover is broken so i am currently working on a
solution to that but if it is not broken then just try taking the sd
card out turn off the phone and insert the sd card and properly close
the cover make sure it is not opened even the slightest then turn your
phone bak on and it should work unless the actual sd card reader is
damaged or the sd card itself. hope this information was helpfull
I looked on the manual ...and doesn't say anithing about cards..except that it has to be an SD...maybe there is something wrong with the camera ..or is not a secure digital ...and is a multimedia ...or the other way around... try to see if its not locked...and reformat it on the computer ..if the camera don't have the feature to format it ......maybe its too small ...or too little ...or damaged...
It sounds like you need to figure out exactly what kind of DS card you have. Check out NintendoDSCard.com's DS Card Setup Guide which should sort you out.
Also, I recommend only buying genuine cards since a lot of the fakes tend to break quite easily. Maybe from dscardworld.com or from nds-gear.com if you're in Canada/Europe since their international shipping's a bit cheaper
The SD slot of the camera got damage somehow. The SD slot contains thin copper prongs that locks the card in place and comes in contact with the surface of the card. If these prongs are damaged, then it cause a read failure of the camera.
