Start 1 Solution When selecting any cycle on the Kenmore Elite H3 (Model 1104282203) and pressing start, the light continues to blink.The door won't lock and start the washer. We replaced the door lock latch unit, but that did not resolve the issue. Everything works when we run the diagnostic test (no errors). Can you please help?

I had the same problem, but due to the great info on the internet, I found the problem and solution. I have been able to temporarily fix it until I can get someone out to repair the plunger. The computer needs to be reset most likely. You might try turning it off, uplugging the washer, leaving it off for a bit and starting over. They are touchy little machines, I've found, not just your brand either. Mine comes on everytime the power blinks on and off in a storm :0) Best of all have a look in your manual and if you don't have it go to the manufacturer's site and download a new one or look for support there. The diagnostic function will not help you if your user interface board (UIB) is acting up because to put into diagnostic you have to select drain spin, then the no spin option, and hit the prewash button 4 times.
It sounds like your UIB is the problem.

The problem might be that the black pin (about 3/8" long and 1/8" in diameter), that normally sticks out of the frame of the washer at about the 2 o'clock position, and which is pushed in when the door closes, has broken off. If this pin breaks off, the washer will not recognize that the door has been closed. In my opinion, the pin is most likely to break when you close the door and the door was not properly aligned with the door frame -- in which case the pin will be sheared off. Let me know what you find.
