How to change the light bulb in the outside ice/water dispenser

Question about Maytag 22.6 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator with PuriClean II Ice and Water
1 Answer
The light on the outside door (where the ice/water dispenser is) won't turn off. It is dimmer than when you hit the 'light' button, but it stays on constantly when the door is shut. The 'light' button works and turns the bulb brighter, but when you turn it off, it just dims and doesn't go out. The light shuts off when the door is open and turns back on when its closed. Hi
Reprogramming your refrigerator to only light up when the dispenser is in use saves energy and keepsyour house darker at night. The light is controlled using the buttons above the water dispenser mechanism.Press and hold the "Lock" or "Lock Controls" button for three seconds to activate the controls if they currently are locked.Tap the "Light" button to switch off the light.Press and hold the "Lock" button for another three seconds to lock the controls from further changes. The light now only comes on when the dispenser is active.
If the above procedure won't work then this will be the cause of a faulty switch. This light switch is an integrated part of the dispenser control circuit board. This will require you, or your service tech to replace the entire dispenser/ice maker control board. It will be located just behind the dispenser fascia, mounted on a bracket. the actual light switch circuit is mounted on this board.
Try this procedure:-
Shutdown the unit for five minutes. Simply unplug the unit for this length of time. This will reset the board, and possibly, fix this fault if it is not to severe. If the shutdown dose not correct the switch action, simply replace the dispenser/switch control circuit board.
Please get back to us if you have further query or else please accept the solution.

Camera only worked for a few hours. Now it will not get "detected".

Don't think too much about messing with your new camera. If it worked a few hours and then stopped working, it is defective. Take it to the shop where you bought it. It is on warranty.

Can a 2wire 1000HG be used as a bridge?

You would need to look in the settings to see if it has bridge mode. A possible option for you. Get two wireless routers. Have one in the house where it is now. Run an ethernet cable from it into the shop (Max lenth should not exceed 300ft) Put the other router in the shop. Hook the ethernet from an Ethernet port on the router in the house to the WAN/Uplink port on the second router. Make sure both routers have DHCP enabled and they are on different subnets. So house network could be (Ex: 192.168.0.0) network and Shop (192.168.1.0) network. These will route correctly and use the same internet connection. If you need further directions just ask.

Just quit. Worked fine one day. Next day went to turn it on and nothing happened. Fan is little over a year old.

Control switch, circuit breaker, or loose wire are main suspect.
Rarely does a motor just stop working.

Check circuit breaker.
Open control switch and test for power and check for loose connections.
Install ordinary on-off switch and see if function resumes.
Check wire connections at fan.

The lights and fan have worked fine for a couple of years. The fan and lights are on separate wall switches. The light switch will turn on the lights but when you turn on the fan switch it throws the...

It sounds like there is a direct short between the fan power and either the neutral wire (white) and the ground of the fan. This could be in the box that holds the fan or within the fan itself. This is where I would say the fault is.

Need a new moter model SJD-B2 so we can fix our penquin snow globe. do you carry this so we can order one? 120 volt 60hz 0.442a 3130rpm

My Gemmy blower worked great for a Christmas inflatable. At season end, I packed it into it's bag and into the box. Next season, lights light, but blower won't spin. The motor sounds like it wants to go, but no spin.
I removed the blower base, opened the blower housing (the part where the air comes out. I dropped about a dozen drops of 3M household oil on the shaft , spun it a few times and let it set.
Three hours later, blower works just fine.
I suppose the trick is to oil the shaft before it gets packed away.

I replaced both three way switches in my hall way. They worked great for about 5 tries. After that one works great and the other only turns it of and wont turn it back on. Its an old house and has 3 wires...

If you are certain that both switches worked correctly at first (you could turn the light on or off from either switch with the other switch in either position) then you have a bad switch. But if you aren't certain of this, it is likely that you wired one or both switches incorrectly. There are lots of great write-ups to be found if your google - how to wire a three ways switch --- But I like this one. http://home.howstuffworks.com/three-way2.htm

My 99 vw jetta will not turn over

Check your battery cables for tightness, especially your ground cable. Now you have a new battery, so you have eliminated that as the source of the problem. Turn on your headlights, do they go out or very dim when attempting to start the car? If so, you have a poor electrical connection somewhere - loose cable, bad cable, possibly bad ignition switch.
