I am trying to find a free instruction manual for a Honda lawnmower. It is a self propelling Honda mower, HRB 215. It also says it is 5.0, whatever that means???

Good pictures on this link to follow. I found it eaiser if you put your mower on a work bench or 2 sawhorse with plywood on them. Read everything on the link for your plan before you start. When you finish you will feel you can fix anything on the mower. Hope this will do the trick for you. Good luck!
sorry. i honestly think that the best solutin for this is to push the lawnmower. it may be very difficult to fix this problem yoursel, unless you are a mechanic. i like the good old fashioned non motor push mowers. they are fun.

there is a panel in front of the gear that completes the curve of the blade path that you can remove with a single bolt on the outside of the mower between the wheel and the deck
