close the tape compartment take the batery of press the power button on and holding the power press put the batery back and wait let me know

Sometimes a gentle slap with the palm of your hand with the door facing towards the ground does the trick, make sure you power it off then on press eject while you gently slap it.

you can try to pres the reset button and that my work.

ur camera is improper

let the camera sit alone for About 20 min,so that the camcorder automatically turned off. I turned it off, then back on and did not receive the reset button prompt.
if that doesn't work unplug the battery and all power and plug back in.

Pl. remove the battery. connect with power cord and try.

perhaps it has to do with the SP and LP settings, I know certain video editing programs won't capture video recored in LP.
