There is a surge protector on the main power board this has probably blown. or the main power board fuse or plug fuse. check them one by one. there even may be a secondary fuse in the tv around 3amp witch can blow. it will have red and black lines on it or orange that is the rating of the fuse. surge protector is like a battery shap round with 2 prongs onto the board.

SOURCE: tv turns off after 15 minutes of use

For bobby11 and luis, it is the power supply. Part Number EAY34797001 in the 42" and EAY34796801 in the 32". This is a known problem, and somebody should start a Class Action against LG over this one. Part is available online and easy to swap out for anyone with the most basic knowledge.

SOURCE: hitachi 50v500 tv lamp light blinking no picture

I have one of these units, if the light is blinking and no picture as you have stated then you will need to replace the bulb in the unit. it is contained in the front of the unit behind the front panel on the right, you would remove the front panel after unplugging the unit, remove the single screw and pull out the box. replace it and then reverse the proces. the bulbs can be obtained for about $130.00 to $200.00 depending on where you get it from. Shop around.

SOURCE: After a momentary power outage Panasonic LCD TV has a flashing red light and will not turn on.

Try using a different outlet, the outlet or the tv may have been damaged in the surge. In the case of the tv contact the manufacturer and see if it's still under warranty. There may also be a way to 'reset' the tv by holding the power button down, try looking in the manual or calling customer support. In the future use a surge protector, many of today's electronics are still sensitive to power surges, older tv's were more resilliant than today's in this regard.

SOURCE: tv wont turn on

Hello Charliebigwh, hi technically your monitor's power supply has a problem, this is either your switching regulator does not work or there is a short in that section, If you want to do it your self, need to replace all large value, and or high voltage capacitors(especially the capacitors with its top is bubbly), need also to replace the switching IC, and power transistor.

Have it checked by a technician if you cannot do the work.

How do I fix my panasonic vierra that won't come on after a power outage?

Pull the plug and with the power disconnected hold the power button on for 60 seconds. After at least the 60 seconds plug the tv in and try to start it. If it works great if not , hold the power button in the on position for a count of 20 with the tv plugged in . If theres still no Joy try power with one of your volume buttons at the same time . One of these should provide a hard reset for the tv.

My tv wont come back on

Check the power cord to the television if you are unable to turn it on with the "Power" button on the front. Make sure the cord is connected properly to the television and to a working AC outlet. If a power outage has occurred, unplug the television for 30 minutes to allow it to reset and plug it back in.

My tv wont turnon after being off n unplugged for 6 months what should I do. Sony kdl32l5000

First lets try the basics...
1 check the AC cord for flaws
2 try plugging the TV in another wall outlet (always use a surge-protector) then try powering the TV on again
3 plug tv into surge protector, plug into wall then find the house fuse box going too that outlet and turn it off & on once. Then try powering the TV on again.
4 it could also be the ac fuse inside the TV that blew from the TV's last usage.
If its been in the cold or in excessive thermal conditions for 6 months you could have moisture build up on the boards or warping...
hope this helps, contact me at the link below for further help...

ILO 2706 TV WONT TURN ON

This TV might have been affected by the power outage even if it was not ON at that moment. There is a standby voltage still present even when OFF and connected to the AC line.
There might be different failures on this TV:
1. The power supply might be defective after the power outage.
2. The main board could also be defective since the power supplies for today's TVs are not well regulated and once the voltage getting to the power supply increases, the standby voltage voltage will also increase damaging voltage sensitive components like the microprocessor or memory circuitry.

Let me know if you require further assistance.
