SOURCE: vcr

Yes you may hook that up to the coaxle end of this unit or the RCA scart connection on the back.

The coaxle end you would need to be on channel 3 or 4 make sure you verify witch channel you vcr is under. Thanks

I'm trying to get my Xbox hooked up to my old quasar color tv. Idk which channel the game setting is in, I don't have the remote

if you've tried video 2 then you should hook a vcr to the tv then put the video and sound cords in the vcr. turn it on turn the tv to channel 3 and hit the vcr/tv button then the game will show up on your quaser color tv

I can't seem to change the channel from Channel 2 to 3 or 4. I don't have the remote. I am trying to hook it up to the VCR, but the VCR requires channel 3 or 4. Please help.

I have a Sony 27" TV. I tried the same thing on mine. I couldn't change the channel either. You will have to buy a cheap universal remote that will have a code on it for your TV.

SHARP aquos 1080p HDTV: VCR image flickers when playback

I have the same model TV and the following worked for me. I am using A/V cables attached to Input1 on back of the TV.

On your Sharp TV remote control:
1. Select the Input (1-5) that is attached to your VCR.
2. Go to the menu and select options.
3. Change your color system to NTSC.

This should stop your picture frome flashing on and off.

You still may have a issue with the screen colors. I don't know of a way to address this, other than to make the picture monochrome.

Hope this helps.

Hook up vcr

Unhook the dvd cables from the AV1 ports on the tv. Then hook these DVD outputs to the inputs on the vcr. Then hook the vcr outputs to the tv inputs (AV1). The tv and the vcr must then be set to channel 3 in order to watch the dvd (and possibly also some menu settings such as setting everything to "component video" and/or setting the tv/vcr button to "vcr. Also set all "3 or 4" switches on the back of all equipment to channel 3. Also, don't forget to go into your tv menu and choose AV1 when you want to watch the dvd and/or the vcr.
You can also try connecting your dish to the vcr and then the vcr to the input on the tv where you HAD the dish connected. There are several combinations you can try, but just remember to always put output cables to the INPUTS of the next piece of equipment in line, and set your menu settings appropriately on all equipment whenever you change from one machine to the next.
If all this fails, then here is a 100% positive solution. Buy an "A/B" switch. It has two inputs and only one output. You could leave the dvd connected as is and connect the dish and the vcr to the two inputs on the A/B switch. Then hook the one output of the A/B switch to the tv. When you change the position of the A/B switch back and forth, you will be changing over back and forth from dvd to vcr. You can move the A/B input selection switch manually or you can buy a remote controlled A/B switch and do your switching with the remote that comes with the switch.

Hook up

What channel do you have your TV on...3 or 4? Match that setting on your V5500, hit the TV/VCR button and you should have onscreen whatever channel the cable box is on.

RCA VR355 recording problem

Are you sure the reciever is coming through the vcr.? are you hooking it up through a/v on vcr?
if so hook from a/v out from directv to a/v in
jacks on back of vcr. and turn vcr on a/v channel
to record it. you will see the picture as you record it. if the vcr isn't on a/v channel it won't record it
If you use ch 4 or 3 to record it you
hook up directv to cable in on vcr and you
have to turn vcr on that channel and see it coming
through it you have to push a button on satlette
remote to make it come on the vcr on the channel
or it will record snow. and you have to push
another button on vcr remote if you haven't
already to get the vcr on ch 4 or 3 on your tv
or if u got it through a/v turn tv to a/v channnel.

just beacuse you see the picture coming through
your tv doesn't mean it going through your vcr
you could be just seeing it through the tv only.
you will see the vcrs graphics or vcr channel number on your
tv too along with the directv channel if it's hooked
up right. notice the vcr won't record it's own
graphics or channel number on the screen but it will record the directv's graphics. and it won't record the tv's own grapic channel number either.
to make sure it's right you will see 3 graphics on
your tv the own tv's channel number or a/v
the directvs and the vcr's channel number or a/v
on your tv if you see these you know it's hook up
right.

VCR won't play gamecube when hooked up

You should be hooking the gamecube straight up to the TV, take the VCR out of the equation and try again.
