This can be a deffective panel. If it is defective, it usally takes about an hour of being on before the sound can be noticed. It could also be leaky diodes which is what i would hope for if it were my tv. Can you explain in more detail of how long it takes to be noticed and etc....
It sounds like a main power supply regulator board fault. Check it. If replacement should have to be done, there is some adjustment to do with new power board. For more details, try the site linked here.
