Try dipping your finger in rubbing alcohol then, applying a little pressure, try to roll the ball around. This issue is common on these phone. Usually the pressure and alcohol help free any debris that may be causing the ball to stick. If that doesn't work the ball may need to be removed to clean out any debris that may be in there. A quick google search can show you how to remove the trackball easily.
Hope that helps.

Blackberry ball wont roll

If the track ball is stuck, there's something that's preventing it to roll. Cleaning it should be the solution, but you need to contact the manufacturer and have them clean it for you. Because that track ball is not easy to remove.

Thank you!

Trackball gets stuck on BB 8100 Pearl

You can actually pop the trackball out and clean it and the sensors. remove (gently) the silver ring around the ball. if you break it you can buy new ones cheap.. it just snaps in to place. then the ball will fall out and you can take a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and clean it.

Pearl roller ball

It might be a case where the track ball has some dirt or debris underneath it. First, turn the device off. Next, press down firmly on the track ball while at the same time rolling it in every direction. Hopefully that will knock loose any debris. Another tip to try is to wet your thumb with a little water and do the same thing.

If those two options don't work, you may try taking out the track ball and blowing out the slot with some compressed air. Below is a link that shows how to remove and clean the track ball:

Bluethooth heandsfree

It should just be a manner of turning on the media player on the phone and pressing the button just the left of the roller ball (it's got 7 dots on it) and sending using bluetooth while the headset it on.
