Make sure the metal bracket that holds the sim card in is secure and check it for damage. Since you've already changed out the card and have tried resetting the phone, check the sim card contacts on the phone. If they are wearing out, that could cause the problem you are having.

SOURCE: Windows Mobile 6 Won't Boot

bigsphinx, I too am having the exact same problem on both my phone and my wife's too, about once a month it just locks up then after a soft reset it just gets stuck on the green screen. I called support and they said I just have to do a hard reset, which loses everything :(

So for now I always backup (using PIMBackup) to my SD card for the next time it happens.

SOURCE: htc not turn on, red light on

Hi,
Remove the battery from the mobile, press the power button, for 30 seconds.
Re attach the charger , switch on the phone. If it turns on switch it off again and reinsert the battery and check.
If none of the above steps work, you would have to take it in for repairs as there could be a problem with the power supply inside the phone , that would require special tools to open

Thanks

Make sure your wi-fi access is turned on. Then, if it is and you have paid your subscriber to wi-fi get a new sim card. Oh, be sure your contacts on your sim and phone where it connects is clean.

Nexus si9020 bluetooth & wi-fi not working

Try turn off cell remove back and remove battery and sim card if you have a sim. If the Samsung cell company wont help you fix the problem go directly to the Samsung company for a fix , if that don't fix ya call the attorney general of your location and request that they help with the cell. I had a galaxy and it kept shutting OFF by its self 4 of them as a matter of fact and the company I got it from would not fix the cell or replace the cell with a new one, they kept sending me someone elses reject.

Hello. i have black beery curve 8520, i had done something on setting and i can't send a txt but i can still recieve them and calls

Hello, you will need to perform a soft reset to your blacberry. A hard reset is not adviceable since the effect of changes made by you is not critical.Performing a soft reset stops all applications on the BlackBerry device by pressing the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys. A soft reset re-establishes communication between the BlackBerry device and the computer.Hope this helped.

WIFI

connect to wifi using my blackberry curve 8520 1. Click icon Manage Connection
2. Check/click on Wi-Fi ON
3. Scroll down and see “Set Up Wi-Fi Network”, click Next
4. And now click Scan For Networks.
On this step BlackBerry will scan all of the Wi-Fi around you. Find the Wi-Fi that you want it and save if needed.
5. If you know the SSID network, you can Manually Add Network. And now click theBlackBerry menu and click Connect.
6. If you ask for password, fill it. Usually in free Wi-Fi hotspot there’s no password needed.
7. The next step is fill the name for the Wi-Fi connection to save on Wi-Fi profie or you can just click to Connect. Click Next to continue..
8. The Menu will be back to Manage Connection. Check the Wi-Fi Options to set the UP address is it using DHCP (on BlackBerry it will said “Automatically obtain IP address and DNS”) or using static IP address. If using DHCP you can browsing to Internet but you must change the setting at the browser on the Main Menu -> Options -> Advance Options -> Browser. Change the default browser configuration with the HotspotBrowser. Good luck to surf on the net!
9. But if it’s need manually fill the IP address. You can go to Wi-Fi Options, Hightlight Wi-Fi profile which you already save previously, click the BlackBerry Menu, Edit, Highlight the text “Automatically obtain IP Address and DNS”, click BlackBerry Menu, Change Option, fill the IP one by one (default is 0.0.0.0). And click Save. And don’t forget to change the browser by follow the step on number 8.
Happy surfing on the internet using Blackberry!! But do not forget turn-off the Wi-Fi to save the battery lifetime.

Wi-fi Problems, Error Message Problems, Network SOS Problems

The most common "cure all" to all devices is the battery pull. Like chicken soup is to the soul, the battery pull can solve many of the problems users encounter, such as application errors, theme problems, data problems and more. Before you do anything else - always do a battery pull.
  • With the device powered on, remove the battery
  • Leave the battery out for about 30 seconds
  • Replace the battery and let the device reboot

This will solve a great deal of problems - always do a battery pull before you seek help elsewhere. You can also perform a soft reset on your device by holding down the ALT+Right SHIFT+DEL keys for about 2 seconds. There is also a double soft reset which some users believe is equivalent to a battery pull. To perform this, do the standard soft reset - the screen will go black. When the screen is no longer black, press the keys again (perform another soft reset). You should then see another
blank screen followed by an hour glass.
