I put in the disc to install my gamrbridge and it wont install the drivers

Hi! Please make sure that the cd installer has no scratch or dirt on it for its one good reason for not installing. Make sure the the cd rom or optical drive is in good condition. The lens of the cd rom may be dirty so i suggest you run a cd lens cleaner on the cd rom. Then try the installation again. If no luck, i believe that you should replace the cd rom / optical drive. Hope this helps and have a good one!

My computer does'nt have a dvd rom.Can I get one off the internet by downloading for free?

That is a "Hardware" item it's not "Software".
so purchase a dvd-rom from a local computer shop they should also offer to fit it for you and supply some software for you too.

Hardware = Keyboard, Mouse, Rom Drives, Ect....
Software = XP/Vista, Internet Explorer, Solitair, Ect....

I have a Dell Dimension 4600. I need to re-install Windows XP Professional. The PC won't boot from the CD-ROM. When I choose F12, then Boot from IDE CD-ROM, the PC boots directly to Windows. how can I get...

Check the BIOS to make sure that the CD rom is the first boot devices in the bootup sequence, also make sure that the cd rom does show up in the BIOS.
Make sure that the CD Rom itself is good or the boot cd you are using is good, try it on other PC.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9200 that does not reconize my cd/dvd drive. What would be the estimate cost for this repair.

Hello there:
Your drive may not necessarly be bad , what i would do is open the case and switch the ribbon from the harddrive and place it on the cd rom and then place the one that was on the cd rom and put it on the harddrive and boot the computer into the bios and see if the cd rom is now showing up.,
If so good which may mean that the ribbon cable that was originally attached to the cd rom may not be good .
But if still nothing than you can put every thing back the way it was and if the ribbon cable that was attached to the cd rom originally has a extra end to hook up to the cd rom try to use it and see what happnes if still nothing than yes replace the drive they usually run about 30 to 60 dollars ok?
best regards michael

Cd rom

Where can I get the driver for my CD-ROM?
Visit our hardware download section to obtain a generic CD-ROM driver (oakcdrom.sys) and mscdex.exe if needed.
If you are looking for a specific driver for your CD-ROM drive or a Firmware update, please see our CD-ROM driver page.

CD ROM Won't work

First you want to make sure the CD you are using is good. Try a different CD-ROM, a known good one. If a different CD-ROM is readable then the problem is with your CD media and not the CD-ROM Drive. If another known good CD does not work then the problem is with the drive.

To fix this you must purchase a new CD-ROM drive and install it. Newegg.com has great deals. If you only want to read CDs and are not interested in burning then you can get a name brand CD-ROM drive for around $15.00, but if you need to burn as well the CD+-RW will run you about $30.00.

If you are using Windows XP then it is pretty simple to install the new CD-ROM drive.
