The E2111 should also indicate a number after the DIMM, this is the bank of the DIMM it believes to be bad. Depending on your support contract situation, and ability to bring down the machine, reseating the module after cleaning it a bit with some good old 'canned air' may do the trick. Otherwise a module replacement is in order which is typically covered by DELL if you are still under coverage.

E2111 SBE LOG DISABLE -DIMM 3

Hi
Two most likely causes for this error are
First: the memory module, DIMM3 has worked its way loose and needs to be reseated firmly in its slot with both catches firmly engaged.
Second: The memory module DIMM 3 has become faulty and needs to replaced.
If reseating the DIMM doesn't work try swapping slots with a module of the same size in a different slot and see if the fault follows the module or goes away. If the fault follows the module, eg to DIMM 1, then it is most likely that the module is faulty.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

Power is 2950 i912 sel full

Namrata_stha,

The I912 error is referring to the System Event Log is full of events and because of this is unable to log anymore. You must clear the log in order for the Server Management controller to log any more events. Now depending on the OS installed there are different ways to clear it. If Windows Server 2k8 you would use this command - wevtutil el ' foreach { wevtutil cl $_ }
Where with Server 2003 you can go tot he Event viewer and clear it.

Let me know if this helps.

Dell poweredge 2950 11910 intrusion error

Hello here is the DELL support homepage:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/poweredge-2950?dgc=IR&cid=259637&lid=4661885
The chassis intrusion was made to prevent unautorized access when the chassis is opened.
A small contact in the cabinet trigger the bios, so the operating system is not starting.
Next the system must be activated again by the system admin.
This can easy be deactivated, by entering the bios, and disable the function.
And the wire can be removed from the mainboard, so it don`t happens again.
Hope this will help you

I have a Dell Power Edge 2950 running on Ubuntu. Is there any program that i can run to check my hardware because i had a Error message E1810 HDD disk failure. i remove the disk and put it back on but i...

Hello,

You may have a damaged hard drive and it needs to be replaced. If the system is still under warranty, Dell will replace the drive free, you just need to go online, supply your systems tag number and follow the instructions from there. If you have just the one drive, you will need to restore the information froma a backup. If you have a RAID set up, once the hard drive is reinstalled, the RAID will sync the drive to the others.

Good Luck

The Dell 2950 Server we have cannot reboot the disc drives

The raid may be fine you need to reinstall the OS.
The best way is to drop the raid array astablish a new raid array then install you new OS on a new raid array.Very nice server you have.
