I purchased a Necchi 3205FA about 3 years ago and I am a novice sewer. However I like to refer to a manual involving the machine, the one that came with it is this photocopied thin paphlet. Where can I get a manual specific for my machine. I have searched the internet.

If the spring doesn't revolve easily while it catches the thread it may be. To see what the shape should look like you can go to Ebay and type in "Necchi 3205fa sewing machine tension control". This should give you some very nice photos. You may even want to purchase one from Ebay and replace the one you are having problems with.

Flat Bed Attachment is correct. Is Necchi even made anymore? I don't think so. Your search may be futile. However a good wood worker could make you something to fit.
