I can only be these causes.
1: hdd bad.
2: it's telling you the truth, the restore partition is corrupted,
takes way more than simple file names, there.
3: someone used microsoft disks or others, an attempted to install other OS, and wreck this partition structures and files.

For a factory reset there are two installation options: C:\ drive recovery System recovery
System
recovery will rebuild the partition. C drive recovery will simply re
install the C drive on the active partition. When you do full system
recovery we create a hidden partition that is read only. this gives you

This is talking about your Recovery Partition which is D: and your Local Disk is C: most likely. You can see and review these partitions by doing this:
Start-> Run -> diskmgmt.msc [enter]
To make some room on this Recovery Partition do this:
Start-> Run -> D:\ [enter]
See if there are any file that might have been placed there on accident and remove.

It sounds like you have been storing files on the Recovery partition (D:) instead of your C: drive. You should not do that. The Recovery partition should just that. If you need more space consider a USB external hard drive.
