Drag star is stuck,wont turn with out it turning the handle and having problem getting it off it wont turn counter clock wise on abu garcia promax bait cast reel

On the new Pflueger Supreme ( which I own one of) tighten the drag down ( just snug it down) PUSH IN ON THE DRAG STAR, TURN HANDLE; COUNTER CLOCK WISE! Handle will back off...you must keep the drag star compressed until you reach a point it will no longer engage.....DO NOT LOSE THE SPRING behind the drag star. Good Luck.
If I am not mistaken your key for this model is on the triple trees behind the headlight? If I am correct you will need to turn your key counter clock wise while pushing doun on the front of the seat> This should release the seat lock to remove the seat
hi carey. turning the cartridge upside down will not change the direction. But tell me this, once you get used to the new cartridge won't it be fine as it is?
