I am looking for replacement batteries for Vtech CS5121-3. The info on the old battery is
BT-17333/BT-27333, 3.6 V, 400 mAh, Ni-Cd.
I have checked on Budget Batteries website, But nothing listed for that Vtech model.
Any ideas would be great.
I checked Vtech's website, and their replacement batteries are 2-3 times the cost of other sites. I know because I have bought batteries for another model Vtech phone from Budget Batteries for a lot less than Vtech sells them for.I checked Vtech's website, and their replacement batteries are 2-3 times the cost of other sites. If the batteries are Dollar Store or old, buy a new set of Duracell. There are a lot of counterfeits coming out of the far east. Amazon Basics are pretty good and they are always fresh.
Phone VTech or use their Support form. Details in the link below.
How old is the handset? Batteries last from 2 - 4 years and then can't retain a charge. In most wireless handsets the batteries are easily replaceable. Yours has a NiMH battery pack with a pigtail lead coming from it, google your model number + Battery for replacements
To obtain a replacement manual, you'll need the precise model
number of your phone: this is found on a small sticker
underneath the battery inside the handset. Take this
model number ( eg, CS6229 ) to www.manualslib.com
and you can download a free copy of the manual.
Look in the base of your scanner. There should be a clip holding and securing the battery.
Check the user's manual. I couldn't find one for your model, but check this one for the Xi3000-BT that replaced your scanner: http://www.totalbarcode.com/download/Xi3000-BT.pdf
is your phone about a year old? It may be the battery. The vtech phones have weak batteries that clunk out after about a year and you'll get dropped calls, looking for base etc... The phone still appears to be working and the battery indicator tells you it's charged, but the battery is too weak to keep the wireless connection going.
Had the same problem and replaced the battery. budgetbatteries.com had
the cheapest ones. But it's a knockoff, so I don't know how long it
will last. So far it's been 3 months and the problems are gone. I would
try that first and see how it goes. I paid about $15 including
shipping. If you buy it from vtech it's at least double...
You need to dismantle phone and replace Varta CR1/2AA 3Volt lithium battery.
Dismantling is easy enough but you MUST lay out the screws etc so they go back in the right place, particularly the one with the two nylon washers underneath the head.
