Unfortunately, it can be. its not gold, only a finish. and if you have a chemical in your skin that reacts to the chemicals in the gold tone finish it can wear off very quickly. Do you also get that green around your finger from a fake ring? or black on your earlobe hole from earrings? return the watch to where it was bought.

I don't wear fake rings or earings, so i don't know if it happens. Howeve, you are right about the watch. I returned it to the store yesterday and they changed the bracelet. This one seems ok, i tried to rub it off and scratch it with the nail and nothing happened. With the previous bracelet, the golden tone started to wear off the moment i put it on my hand. (By the way, since the previous bracelet was too long, they had to make it short, and i noticed that the golden tone was a bit different at that place particularly (it already started to wear off), and then i put it on my hand, scratched it a little bit, and it continued to lose its tone.) Do you think that every watch with the gold tone will behave in the same way? The new one looks good, the tone haven't changed yet.
