Either the power to the DVD unit is off for some reason or the signal connection to the entertainment unit is loose. It sounds more like a power issue, since the ent. unit senses the DVD but can't access it. Have the dealer check it out.
What do you mean "unlock"? There shouldn't be anything you need to unlock to use the rear entertainment center. If you put a DVD in the display it should come on and if you press the DISK button on the front stereo, you should get the sound of the DVD over the main speakers. Please elaborate more.
is there a small pin hole near the draw? DVD players often have a manual eject lever you can operate by pushing a straightened paper clilp in the hole?
Most likely the audio settings of the system are not set correct, check the audio settings and ensure they are set to the rear screens headphones instead of the car stereo.
