Reset All
NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS
TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED
TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION!
If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds.
This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation
will be gone.....
IF that doesn't work try to recover...download the update software and install then lock your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to the computer Start the update software if it doesn't start automatic goto /start /all programs /Sandisk/sansa updater/ sansa updater and start it up manually... follow instructions on the updater and the sansa hope this works.... Please rate

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

There are no instructions in the instruction manual as to how I transfer songs to the MP3 player. Sorry, but I need MP3's' for Dummies. It's the JX-MP102. PLEASE HELP!

Just bought the JX-MP102 find it difficult to use but was able to download songs from a windows xp laptop - plug the mp3 player into the usb port and turn on just as you would for playing music its screen should light up and the computer will pop up a screen with several options click to start windows explorer and from there you can got to place holding music files and copy them the disk letter which represents  the MP3 player. On my machine my main files are on the C disk and a new D disk pops up for MP3 player. I also have a windows vista machine and it also recognizes the player as a new disk drive just like a flash drive.  Unfortunately I can the player to work for a few minutes at best right now even with the music files successfully loaded and playing so I may return it tomorrow. Hope you have better luck.

You should let the battery be flat and then charge it.
It'd then work. It happened to me twice. Hope this helps.
