Camera won't stay on even with new battery - Samsung TL 105 Digital Camera

possible battery problem. look at battery contacts. clean w/ pencil ereraser or small scraping devise.GENTLY, on battery and camera.
possible dead battery even if new.even if you buy a new battery, clean ththe contacts an battery and camera.

Ensure you are using alkaline batteries and that battery contacts have no oxide or liquid on top of them. If you do not use alkaline batteries this is normal.
If batteries are ok is a short circuit.

Power supply unit fault. need servicing.

1_ recharge the batteries or replace
2) clean the contacts batteries with contacts cleaner very well with carefully
3) see if the battery is loaded in WRON direction
4) memor card slot/battery cover is open.
5)poor contact between camera and battery terminal adjust the contacts and clean.

Suspect dirty battery terminals that may need to be cleaned, or bent upwards, to improve contact with the batteries. Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be seen here.

Pull the batteries out and see if it will stay closed, if it does the batteries are installed incorrectly. If it still won't stay closed your options are to either tape it shut or get a new camera unless it is under manufacture warrenty still or you have an accidental damage plan.

That sounds like your battery could be dead/not hold a charge. If you've charged your battery already and your camera still won't stay off and turns off right away, it's time to purchase a new battery for your Samsung TL105.

hi, what type of batterys have you brought as most normal batterys you buy wont even switch the camera on you need hi power batterys such as lithium or even better go into a camera shop and they will have special high power bats, normal bats wont even switch mine on so give different batts a try

Clean front and back + - terminals in camera careful with fine emery paper. Also, MAKE sure batteries are not loose if they are they will not make the connection. Fine jeweler screwdriver will pick them out enough.VERY CAREFUL.I truly think this is it.regards Billy

Rechargable batteries actually do not recharge the 100 times advertised. After maybe 10 times they are reduced in capacity noticably. For instance, new alkaline batteries will last me maybe 60 pictures, however the rechargables are only good for about 5. To test this try taking out the batteries, and put back in before you wish to try them, also turn off the flash if it is not needed.(flash uses a lot of power)
