Have you attempted to perform a hard reset yet?
So do one thing...
First connect to ur PC with ITUNES.. this is done by holding BOTH the home and sleep/wake buttons down until you see the white apple symbol onscreen.. then release both buttons... this typically resolves this issue you're describing...
If not... it sounds like you should perform a full restore via iTunes... hopefully you have a recent back up saved that you can restore from...
if that also doens't work, then 99% you have a hardware issue need to go for repair....

Cynthia, When the battery goes very low and we keep trying to use the phone by restarting it, the firmware get corrupted. And for a corrupted firmware, the only way out is to get it reinstalled. So, please do that as the firmware of the phone has got corrupted.

Whenever your screen goes white again just hit the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT+DEL your blackberry will reset itself. It will go black for about 2 to 4 seconds then you will see the famous blackberry hourglass. Be patient and in about 2 to 5 minutes your blackberry will reset.

Try freeing up some space on your blackberry by deleting some unecessary files and do not run too many applications at once.

The white screen is a ribbon cable issue.

You have had both phones apart so you know what I am talking about when I say ribbon cable?
It's the flexi cable that links the screen to the main body of the phone.

CHeck it is not damaged and check it is connected correctly.

You will see lots of people with all makes and models of mobile phones have this same issue and 80-90% are caused by a pesky flexible cable.

You may find a replacement fairly cheaply on Ebay if you have damaged both cables. They are delicate so take care when handling.

the only thing that you can do with this issue is try wiping the software clean and reinstalling fresh software. You would need the blackberry desktop manager first installed on your home computer. If you dont have the cd the program is more then likely available on your mobile providers website. Once the program is downloaded and installed follow these directions

To perform this procedure, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry device.
2. Double-click Application Loader in BlackBerry Desktop Manager while the BlackBerry device is not connected to the computer.
3. Click Next on the Welcome to the Application Loader Wizard screen.
4. When the Communication Port Selection screen appears, connect the BlackBerry device.
5. When the USB-PIN option appears, click Next. The Device Application Selection screen should appear.
6. Re-insert the battery and allow the process to complete.
