Turn everything off. I mean everything. That is, turn off the computer, the router, and the modem, unplug them, and disconnect them from each other. If the modem has a battery, remove it if you can so it shuts completely off. Wait a few minutes, then BEFORE YOU POWER ON, reconnect the signal cables... modem to router, router to PC. Then replace the battery/turn on your modem, plug your power back into your router, then turn on your PC. Hope this helps.

I have the Belkin Wireless N router, which is showing the blinking amber light for modem and won't connect to the internet. I tried unplugging and resetting both the modem and the router which didn't help.
