Typing delay When I type any text in any software package there is a significant delay before the text appears on screen. This is very frustrating. What is causing this delay? When I am typing online my words don't come up until like 5 seconds after I am typing. It is fine when I am not online. Please help it is very frustraiting. There is a delay when typing anything into the computer. When typing, it can sometimes take a few seconds for each keystroke / mouse click to register on the screen. Sometimes it will lag and then suddenly catch up if I hit no keys at all. This has become extremely frustrating. Lately this has also been affecting the time it takes for certain sounds to play, for programs to open, and for the copmuter to shut down (hours once). I have 896mb of RAM. I have run disk defragmenter many times and even anti-virus software. I don't ever have very many programs open, and if I open Task Manger, ther are about 50 or so processes going on at once - and I don't recognize most of them. Could this be ther problem? Can anyone help me? hi, the problem is that i have to depress the keys on the keyboard of my desktop for about 2 seconds for the letters, numbers or functions to appear, if i type normally nothing comes up, can you help please!

I would suspect that you maybe have spyware and malware issue's. you need to get that process list down to an average of 35-40.

spybot is an excellent application to help in a situation like this. Search for it on google.

Ive an unlock code(i think)how dhttps://www.fixya.com/images/askflow/AddDetail_graphic.jpgo i enter it to a blackberry

1. Go to Options, Advanced Options, then Sim Card

2. On your Blackberry, type MEPD (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)

3. Type MEP, then hold the [ALT BUTTON] and press 2 on your Blackberry keyboard (Once again, you will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)

4. You should see a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the unlock code and press the trackball

If code says accepted, your BlackBerry is now unlocked. To verify your device is unlocked, follow steps 1 & 2 and "Network" will say "disabled". If Network says "Active", then it is still locked to the standard carrier.

Typing words and their appearance on screen delay in email mode

Did you install anything new recently? If so, then you might have downloaded something that takes up a lot of space. Try deleting some programs from your computer that you don't need.

You might have Adware, spyware, virues etc on your computer that is slowing you down as well. Try doing a scan and see.

Typing delay

Hi, Tracy.

I certainly understand your frustration.

If your new system has always functioned this way, contact Dell. If you are running Vista and do not have enough memory (at least 2 GB), I'd suggest adding memory.

If your computer has functioned OK and this is a new problem, the most common reason is Spyware or Malware.

So, download, update and run from these sites: http://www.spybot.com and http://www.malwarebytes.com. With Malwarebytes, be certain to choose the free software.

Hope this helps.

Typing delay

Try restarting the machine, and diminishing the amount of programs that you run at the same time. Also, try to install some more RAM, as this will allow your computer to process faster.
