Bathtub drain plug

We just moved into a hosue and it has an invlodrf Maax jetted tub. The plug works by pushing down to close the plug and pushing down again to raise the plug to let the water out of the tub. The drain plug leaks (there seems to be a rubber sleve under the stopper but it is torn?) so the tub will not hold water. What is involved in replacing the drain plug?

It should be easy. You should be able to unscrew the stopper and take it out. The part of the drain that sits inside the tub screws in to the drain under the tub. It takes a special tool to remove it but you can use either two screwdrivers or is the opening is big enough the handle of your pliers and put them in the drain. If you look inside the drain there are two or three braces that go across and that is where you need to put the pliers or screwdriver in to get it to turn out. You can either get a new gasket or some plumbers putty and repair it. I hope that helped.

SOURCE: Lasco whirlpool tub leaks. Water runs out on

Sorry, the tub will have to pulled out to find out what is leaking so it can be fixed. There is just no other way UNLESS you can open up the wall on the blind side of the tube. (but its probably and exterior wall...if the house is vinyl sided, it can be done. If brick, you'll have to pull the tub). If you just wanted to convert to a tub only, maybe Bathfitters has an insert solution...

SOURCE: Cold air blowing into Maax Velvet 6032 Bubble Tub

The air coming from the blower will be cool, but should not be cold. Turn on the blower or bubbler feature (no water necessary) and go to the access panel ( as specified by install instructions), reach in and feel the tube connected to the blower, the tube should be warm, if not the heater coil is not working and the blower assembly needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Maax bathtub Palace model Error code C01 jets don't turn on.

first of all check the circuit breakers to be sure one or both aren't kicked. be sure to turn the breaker all the way off and then fully on as a tripped breaker is in a halfway off position. if that doesnt fix your problem remove the access panel to the mechanical space in your tub. there are generally one or two reset buttons in there which can also kick off and need to be reset.

SOURCE: drain stopper in the bathtub has come off how do

the stopper just sits in the hole. When you turn the knob the cable operates the piece that raises and lowers the drain plug. The weight of it and the suction of the water is what seals it....provided the o-ring is good on the plug.

I just had a Maax Living tub installed but did not receive a manual. I searched the Maax website but could not find the answer I need: if I accidently push the drain, the water starts draining but I cannot...

Good tips, but I haven't seen this answered yet. We just bought a house with a Maax tub. The drain is not a pop down, pop up deal. You push in a button in the overflow to raise the drain plug. But the vacuum of the drain pulls it down again. So you have to hold the plug in the entire time it takes to drain. I'm told something can be adjusted for this, but I'm not a plumber, and so far it's not obvious.

Tub drain will not stay closed

If it is the spring loaded popup style just unscrew it about one turn and try pushing it closed again.

This sounds as if the low water sensor may not be working. They are designed to know when the tub has water in it and then the motor will start.

My bathtub jacuzzi wont work. I reset the circuit breakers but nothing. I filled the tub but nothing comes out of the jets

make sure you have power to outlet that motor is plugged into,if so try pushing jet button in tub about ten times in a row quickly then on tenth push use as much force as possible and hold.if this does not work, air hose from back of button to pump motor may be disconnected.

E06 on newly installed maax calla

E06 is the water sensor, The tub will not operater if there is not enough water in it. If the water level is not the problem, it is most likely a bad water level sensor.
