Black screen how do i fix red dead when it goes in to a black screen right after i start the game from xbox dashboard

You will have to supply more details if you want help.
- What is the MFR DATE of the 360 (On the barcode sticker)?
- Is the 360 modified, if so what kind of modification?
- When the console goes to the black screen, does it freeze or can you return to the dashboard when pressing the "X-BOX" button on the controller?
Does it do this with all games or only a few?

I have never heard this issue before. You probably have a lager issue then what can be resolved here and might face future issue in the future. Is this the only game you are having issues with?

Seeing that you mentioned you have purchased a hard drive then I would recommend you install the game to your hard drive and try play after that. This will resolve any issues possably of your disk drive possably getting hung up during gameplay.

you got the red ring of death your gonna have to send it out to be replaced or fixed.

The graphic chip gone bad from overheating. The three red ring method will sometimes fix this issue as well. Will have to take everything apart to perform the repair. Some peopel sell the repair kit on ebay for like $6 including hardware and instructions.

my xbox screen has started to shake i have it plugged into a tv tv picture is fine , i have only just put a router on to get xbox live could this be the problem have changed leads still the same any ideas

If the XBOX does this before it even starts up, you have probably got a bad hard-drive. Your best option would be to try a game that does some kind of dashboard update. ( Splinter Cell, Mech Assault, 007 Agent under Fire, Ninja Gaiden Black?, Google for a list) A dash-board updating game, should bypass the start-up process and attempt to reinstall the dashboard.

If that doesn't work, your xbox will need a professional repair.

This can mean that the artifacts are problems with the lead free solder and in my experience it will get
worse, its usually on games that require heavy graphics then its definately the lead free solder problem and
will lead to either 3rrod, e73 or e74 etc etc.

my advice is dont play it to death, keep it cool and if you want it to be ok i would do the x-clamp
replacement and possibly re-solder the whole board. this is done by the use of an IR oven similar to what we
use, OR you can use a normal heatgun but i dont recommend it because it can cause damage and knock fuses off
the mainboard if not used properly.

in the meantime id play it for an hour a time and make sure its not in any cupboard or anything. getting
something like an intercooler can help. We use something called SystemX which cures this type of problem.
