In order for you to unlock your Blackberry Q5, it implies that you will loose all the data and information on it. The only way to have your data and information intact is to unlock it with the actual or correct password or passcode. If you probably know the person that locked it, as him/her for the password or passcode, but if you don't know the person, then your device will have to reset itself back to factory settings after trying with several passwords which are not correct.

So to unlock it, it means you have to keep trying to use different passcode till the device ask you to type in the word 'blackberry' for a reset. I advise that you remove your memory card before trying this.

You need to have an active subscription, then you can choose "Sirius" from the MMS screen when you press the "AM / FM" button. Or are you asking how does the technology work?
