I put my tv on standby using the remote, i then hear this beeping sound shortly after, i unplugged the tv and plugged it back in again but the sound was still there, i tried turning on the tv but now it wont. I then took the back off the tv to located where exactly the sound was coming from and it looked to be coming from something inside the tv labeled as pulse? can you tell me how to fix the tv if possible please.

SOURCE: Tv won't turn on

Most likly it is a problem in the power supply regulator circuit. pretty common for Toshiba TV sets. If you know about TV serviceing, first thing to replace would be the regulator IC as that is the problem 80% of the time. if that does not help then you will need a schematic to trace out the regulator circuit. Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this thread.

SOURCE: RCA 32 in TV no picture no sound just a beeping noise TV power is on

Hello cote,

This indicates a problem in the power supply either the low voltage switching supply or the High voltage power supply. The sounds you hear is the shutdown circuit activating, I would not suggest that you try to repair this problem because of the dangers involved. I would suggest that you take it to a qualified TV repair shop. This problem should not cost you much, however it is the best choice for the problem you described.

I hope this helps,
Thank you,

SOURCE: Sony Trinitron Wega kv-36fs120 wont turn on, standby/timer LED flashes 9 times.

1. Place set on flat solid surface (garage floor or driveway).
2. Bang into it with SUV 3 or 4 times.
3. If set fails to respond, crush against garage wall or drive over it

SOURCE: Will not turn on, but....

I had the exact same problem--TV not turning on at all. Before I threw the TV away, I opened it up and saw a blown fuse near the power cable connection.

I just replaced the tiny fuse in the same TV. It's a 250-Volt 5-Amps fuse. Make sure you get this exact fuse. Otherwise, it will blow again. Now, the TV's working fine.

I have a goodmans TV is having issues, sky box works fine through the hdmi but, ps3 no display or sound through the same port, my ps4 gets pic but no sound, both consoles have been tested on other tvs

1.Put your PS3 on standby.
2. Unplug the power lead.
3. Connect HDMI cable to HDMI out on PS3 and HDMI in on TV
4. Connect PS3 so that the red standby light is showing
5. Hold down the On/Off button until you hear a second beep. The PS3 will try and detect the display output settings on your monitor.

My ps3 is not working because when i plug in all the leads the picture or sound does not work so i bought a new cable but it still does not work I think it may be because i plugged it in to a hd tv then...

Ok, please follow these steps :

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep once when you first press it then beep again 5 seconds later, let go of the power button when you hear this second beep

Step 3. Wait for the PS3 to restart

This basically resets the video output back to standard definition where you should now be able to set it up properly.

Hope this helps

When i turn my ps3 on nuthin would show up on the tv. You can't even hear anything on the tv...it's just blank. Someone please help me..!!!!!!!!

Alright mate, Try these steps...
1. turn on the ps3 so it is in stanby i.e. the red light is on. 2. push and hold down on the red button for as long as it takes to turn the ps3 back off on to standby, you should hear a beep. 3. when it goes back to standby do the same thing again, and this time you will hear one beep (when you pressed it) and two more beeps and it will go back to standby 4. when it is back in standby again, push and hold down the button again, you'll hear the first beep, then three more beeps, and it will go back to standby. 5. do the same again, however when it turns on this time, if done correctly, it should say connect the controller using a usb cable. do this and turn it on. 6. Go through everything it says on screen, 6 options should eventually appear, for me, option 4 did the trick, but i heard option 3 works too, as the other ones do too i presume. 7. the final part is that it will ask you to restore the hard drive etc... just keep pressing the ok button.
if all fails, then phone this number (sony) 0818 365 065. glad to help. let me know.... David.
