We have an aquos flat screen - the cable box was coonected to tv - but yo high on a table - table fell and snapped cable out of back of tv - the inside of tv where it attaches is now broken - can we fix it?
Most likely your not going to be able to fix it most of the cables are soldered on and you'll have to know where it goes so if it just snapped out then you'll have to take it to someone who can fix it for you because also opening the tv could damage it more

I had this same problem I got a new cable box mine was outdated. However some channels still are smaller than the screen check different channels to see if they are all the same/small. the new cable box was called a MIDI box. My flatscreen was new when this happen it was the cable box not the tv
I just got one from a guy named Steve in Santa Barbara. He has at least one more. See eBay by searching for a similar model with a broken screen. FYI, all of the FC-20b... series seem to use the same stand. Good luck
Your TV is a High-Def TV (HDTV) therefore you need a Rogers cable box and service capable of High-Definition in order to get the HD resolution you paid for with the HDTV. HD video requires HDMI or component video cable connections. Standard RCA AV (yellow, white, red) will not show HD video.
Having said that, you may want to hookup a game or VCR to the TV and therefore you will need to get a cable known as an AV miniplug. It has RCA (3) on one end for the VCR for example and on the other end is a Mini-plug to connect to the HDTV (Sharp). This cable is like the ones used on camcorders such as Sony. Make sure you get a cable with the right ends as depicted in your manual on page 14.
You'll have to Google online for a supplier. Sparco.com had these cables but are out of stock currently.
unplug your cable box and your hdmi cable from the back of cable box and reboot it..its the cable box not the tv..I'm just a mom ..sometimes we think outside of the box ..no pun intended!!!
sounds like you have a cable connection problem make sure your tv is set to dtv signal in the menu screen. when you scan the channels should be displayed as 12.1 or 8.2 not just a single number if the digital channels are programmed correctly then change the cable coming into the tv from antenna making sure that it isnot crossing any power wires good luck and hope that i helped
Hello Mhursh,
You will have to go into the cable box's menu and adjust the volume control features there as the catv box can control the volume also which is what you are experiencing.
Good Luck!

YOu may be ble to if did not brake the nipple ompletly off the tuner. YOu will need to take he back off the t.v. and take the tuner out of the t.v and look at it to see if i could be saudered back inplace. if not you will need to get a new tuner and sauder it back in.
Whether or not you have a flat screen or plasma or LCD, you will not be recieving in High Definition unless you talk to your cable company and get a High Definition cable box if it's Comcast, but I believe all cable companies have a special box that you will need to receive in HD.
