Plz follow the following steps
For Internet explorer - open IE -from menu bar click on tools-Internet option-select the no of days you want to remember.
and for Opera and Mozilla you go to tools -options-history and specify the no of days you want to keep history.or you can customize mozilla to delete all the history as you close the browser

what i would do is download a toolbar and install it to firefox then right click the toolbar that u installed and recheck your url bar

the actual click make it just under the colored band ..on the other bar ....the one with the tools..
