Hi one of my JBL EON15's Cone does not seem to be firing at all there does not seem to be any seeable damage on the out side of the cone. the loudspeaker is working just fine. Iv'e hooked it up through a couple different sources and still the 15'' cone will not fire. If anyone can help out with this little problem of mine or can direct me to a better source of information let me know Thanks, Connor

Check the wire terminals under the cone by the spider and make sure that they are both still connected

JBL EON15-G2 POWERED PA SPEAKER. What burns out when putting 110 volt JBL EON15-G2 into 240 volts.

Question edited for clarity and typos.
Question moved to model category JBL EON15-G2.

If there is a quick blow fuse in the power supply unit, you might be lucky, but doubling the voltage can take out everything, PSU, Mainboard components and even including the coils on the speakers. You would have to open it up and test, or return it under warranty.

The 15" speaker in my JBL EON 1500 IS NOT WORKING. . IS IT POSSIBLE TO BLOW A FUSE OR THE CROSSOVER CIRCUIT OR SHOULD I GO RIGHT TO THE SPEAKER AND OHM IT OUT?

Check for voice coil resistance. Should be around the stated impedance rating. Assuming it is ok, then move the cone carefully back and forth along the magnet, if any rubbing the coil has been damaged. A damaged coil is not repairable - you replace the driver.

My jbl eon 15 g2 smell like burnt and everything works but the big speaker

The voice coil in the big speaker could have been damaged if driven to loud. See if the burnt smell is strongest near the center of the big speaker. If the voice coil is fried, you may be able to still find a replacement as there is a part number for the voice coil (V/C Assy, EON-G2220-27005-00) and the cone (EONG2
Cone Repl. C2REON15P-2)

Remote reset

Yes the woofer and tweeter can be replaced but the woofer needs a recone kit to repair as the whole speaker cannot be replaced without replacing half of the speaker enclosure.... call JBL pro or a service center for help.

Loud buzz/hum started on jbl eon 1500 powered speaker one side only after power cut off and sudden power back on makes same noise on it`s own as well as with mixer etc could this be a transformer...

For some reason the soft on protection circuit has failed. it is not a simple fix and would require the amplifier module to be removed from the speaker to assess the damage.

My JBL eon 15g2 speaker was working fine and then suddenly the lower woofer suddenly stopped. The higher tweeter still seems to work. All of the fuses are fine and all the wires seem to be properly...

the braided wires from the speaker connectors to the voice coil could be broken (from repetitive movement) or it could be the voice coil it self that could be cut open from a miss alignment of the cone (ware and tear), delicately push on the cone and feel if it rubs, a simple test is to check the IMPEDANCE of the speaker with a OHMMETER, if you have a reading (4,6,or 8 ohms) than the speaker is fine, check the rest of the wiring, if it reads OPEN than you need a new speaker...

How to replace damaged subwoofer? Opened cabinet and found that the woofers' voice coil has burnt and the cone can't move. How to replace it the damaged speaker?

Since the coil is attached to to cone, you are looking at replacing the whole 15" driver (speaker)
To get access to the screws that hold it in place, you'll need to remove the front bezel from the cabinet, then remove the screws around the speaker's rim.

For what it's worth, that driver isn't a subwoofer, it's just a 15" driver. JBL does make 15" and 18" subwoofer drivers, but they aren't the same speaker as what's in this EON. Hopefully that will help you when you're shopping for a replacement driver.

My JBL Eon15 g2 has a cracklin sound within the main component when the bass is turned up. How can I fix this?

it can be the amp or the speaker itself. it has to be diagnosed by a service center.
if the amp is the problem, there can be board replacements or component level repair. if it is the 15" speaker, then it can be reconed with authentic genuine JBL parts returning it to brand new. [email protected]
