Download and install Leapfrog connect. If it doesn't download, there's an offline download option available. After installing it, connect your leappad ultra with the usb cable to the pc. power it on. it should get connected. If it doesn't maybe your anti virus software is blocking it. If this happens, go to your antivirus software settings and under firewall rules, select allow for leapfrog connect .exe. Then it should detect your leappad ultra. Go to left hand top corner , select My Products. Then select your leappad ultra. Then goto Settings on the right top corner and in the pop up, select Reset. It will take around 15 - 20 mins to reset it. All data will be erased.

If unable to pass the country selection, parent setup screen, or child setup screen while performing the initial setup of the LeapPad Ultra, please perform the following instructions:
Download and install LeapFrog Connect again from www.leapfrog.com/connect
Launch the LeapFrog Connect application.
Power on and connect the LeapPad Ultra.
Let LeapPad Ultra sync until LeapFrog Connect tells you to disconnect and create a player profile.
Disconnect device and proceed with the starter flow on the LeapPad Ultra.
If the above instructions to not resolve the issues, please sync your device with LeapFrog Connect Software while in "Connection Needed" mode. To set a device to "Connection Needed" mode, please click the link for detailed instructions.
A hard reset can be performed only if the above troubleshooting is not successful .
To do a hard reset
1) Launch LeapFrog Connect
2) On your keyboard, press and hold down Ctrl + Shift + R ( on a Mac "Command + Shift + R").
3) A pop up box will prompt you to connect the device you'd like to reset
4) Power on and connect the toy
